Reservations / Rates

Q. Is the entire building rented out?

A. Yes, you can rent the entire 5LDK traditional house. This old house was renovated by 150 people through DIY, and there are no shared spaces with other guests. Please note that a manager resides in a separate entrance of the same building, but there is no internal access between the two parts of the building.

Q. What is the capacity? Can large groups stay?

A. Up to 10 guests can stay (consultation required). This property has a strong track record of use by large groups, such as family gatherings and groups of friends. If you have a large number of people or wish to discuss more than 10 guests, please contact us before making a reservation.

Q. Can I stay with children?

A. Yes, there are no age restrictions, and you can stay with children. We have many guests who stay with their families. Please contact us before making a reservation to clarify how to count the number of people, such as whether infants sleeping with parents are included in the capacity.

Q. What are the rates?

A. Rates vary depending on the season, day of the week, and number of guests. The most accurate way to check is to enter your dates on the reservation site (Airbnb). If you have any questions, please contact us.

Q. Can I cancel, change dates, or change the number of guests?

A. This will follow the regulations and procedures of the reservation site (e.g., Airbnb) through which you made your booking. Cancellations made at short notice may incur a cancellation fee. Please contact us via message first.

Q. What are the payment methods and receipts?

A. For reservations made via a reservation site, payment and receipt issuance will generally be handled through that site. Please let us know if you require a receipt.

Check-in / Check-out

Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?

A. Check-in is from 15:00 to 22:00, and check-out is at 11:00. It is a self-check-in system.

Q. Can I check in early?

A. Due to cleaning schedules, this is generally not possible. However, it may be possible depending on the previous day's occupancy and cleaning status, so please inquire as early as possible if you wish to do so.

Q. Can I check out late or store my luggage?

A. Late check-out may be possible depending on the next day's reservation status. Please consult us via message regarding both late check-out and luggage storage.

Q. Is pre-check-in and guest roster entry required?

A. Yes, it is required. Based on the Private Lodging Business Act, all guests staying must register their information in advance. Please complete the form provided by the day before check-in.

Q. How do I enter the room?

A. It is a self-check-in system, and the entrance has a keypad lock (mechanical). The passcode will be provided after pre-check-in is completed and before check-in. If you have trouble unlocking the door, please call the facility contact number provided.

Rooms / Facilities

Q. What is the bedding configuration?

A. We provide futons for up to 10 guests. Linens are in the living room closet, and you are requested to lay them out yourself. As it gets cold in winter, we recommend using multiple blankets and linens.

Q. What amenities are provided?

A. We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hairdryer, toothbrushes, basic seasonings, and pajamas. Coffee, tea, and rice are not provided.

Q. Is there a kitchen and washing machine?

A. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, rice cooker, and a full set of cooking utensils (rice, coffee, and tea are not provided, so please bring them if needed). There is also a drum-type washer-dryer, and detergent is automatically dispensed.

Q. Is there a bathtub?

A. There is no bathtub, only a shower. If you wish to soak in a bath, there are day-trip hot springs within driving distance that you may consider.

Q. Is Wi-Fi available?

A. Yes, it is available for free. Connection information will be provided in the entry guide and house rules at check-in.

Q. What about heating and cooling? I heard it gets cold in winter.

A. In addition to air conditioners, we provide kotatsu and heaters. As it is an old house, it gets particularly cold in winter, so please use heating throughout the house and layer blankets on your futon. Fans are also available in summer.

Q. Are there any specific points to note about staying in a traditional house?

A. This is a traditional house, nearly 60 years old, that was vacant for 8 years and renovated by 150 people through DIY. In addition to the cold in winter, insects may appear as the backyard is adjacent (insect repellent is provided at the entrance). Also, as it is located along a prefectural road, windows may rattle due to car noise (rooms on the second floor are relatively less affected. Earplugs are also provided). Please make your reservation with an understanding of these characteristics.

Access / Parking

Q. How do I get there by public transport?

A. From JR Zushi Station or Keikyu Zushi/Hayama Station, take a bus and get off at the "Kikoba" bus stop, then it's about a 1-minute walk (approx. 25-30 minutes from Zushi Station). Bus services may be infrequent at certain times, so please check the timetable in advance. For more details, please refer to theAccess page.

Q. How do I get there by car?

A. It's about 20-30 minutes from the Yokohama-Yokosuka Road's Zushi IC or Yokosuka IC.

Q. Is there parking available?

A. There are 6 free parking spaces available. The location is a rectangular space (no sign) on the left after going up the slope. Please park in a position with ample space.Parking in the space next to the property or at nearby stores is strictly prohibited, even for a few minutes.(This causes inconvenience to neighbors and affects the continuation of our operations). Please check the map on theAccess page. Also, as there are many residences along the path from the parking lot to the property, please move quietly.

Rules During Your Stay

Q. Is smoking allowed?

A. We apologize, but smoking is not allowed (the entire traditional house is non-smoking).

Q. Can I have a BBQ?

A. We apologize, but BBQs, fireworks, and bringing in and using hot plates are not permitted. You are free to relax in the garden or on the veranda.

Q. What should I be careful about when spending time at night?

A. As the property is located in a quiet village, please keep noise to a minimum at night. Use for parties or events, and entry by more people than the reservation allows, are strictly prohibited. For other detailed rules, please check theHouse Rules.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. We apologize, but pets are not allowed.

Q. Can I use a sauna or catering service?

A. We may be able to arrange a tent sauna experience at Hayama Isshiki Beach or catering. Please refer to theExperiences / Options page for details on content, rates, and availability, and feel free to contact us.

Q. Are there any restaurants or shopping areas nearby?

A. Within walking distance, you'll find "Hayama Kaze no Sugata" for delicious soba and tempura, the restaurant "LITTLE KITCHEN," and the coffee shop "Kikoba Coffee." A convenience store (Seven-Eleven) is also about a 6-minute walk away. The trailhead for the Miura Alps is also within walking distance, making it an ideal base for hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
