Many vacant houses, often old and in poor locations, are generally considered to have "almost zero asset value," and these exist in numerous regional urban areas across Japan. We acquire these properties, renovate them into comfortable spaces using our unique methods, and offer them as housing options to people who pursue their own unique lifestyles without being bound by conventional values.
Among these, the Roopt series offers shared housing-style rental properties where multiple residents live together. They also have extensive experience in managing and operating general rental properties and guesthouses, as well as in building design and construction (renovation coordination). Furthermore, they are involved in community management (Creative Hub, Third Self) to support and nurture creative talent and foster engagement with local communities.
I want to be a force that challenges the way Japan's housing market operates, which has remained completely unchanged since the period of rapid economic growth—a cycle of tearing down and rebuilding.
Representative Director
KYOKO WATANABE
Scrap materials, old Japanese chests of drawers, piles of firewood—nothing is "unusable." That's the mindset with which I've been opening up vacant houses for the past 10 years.
In Ishinomaki, Shiogama, Hayama... Creating places all over Japan where people can feel glad to be there. That's our job.
