Reservations and Rates

Q. Is the building reserved exclusively for me?

A. Yes, it's a rental of an entire traditional Japanese house that's nearly 100 years old (maximum 8 people, limited to one group per day). There are no spaces that you will be sharing with other guests.

Q. What is the capacity?

A. We can accommodate up to 8 guests. Please check the booking site (Airbnb) for accommodation rates and rates per person. We cannot accommodate more guests than the number of people in your reservation, so please contact us in advance if you are unsure about the number of guests.

Q. Can we stay here with children?

A. We recommend this for children of elementary school age and older. If you are bringing preschool-aged children, please contact us before making a reservation. We can also provide information on how to count children sharing a bed and how to adjust bedding. Farm work experiences, unique to a rural inn, are also recommended for families with children.

Q. Can I cancel, change the date, or change the number of participants?

A. We will follow the rules and procedures of the booking site (Airbnb, etc.) where you made your reservation. Last-minute cancellations may incur a cancellation fee. Please contact us via message first.

Q. What are the payment methods and receipts?

A. For reservations made through booking websites, payment and receipt issuance will generally be handled through that website. Please let us know if you require a receipt.

Q. Are there any meal plans available?

A. Yes. We offer a lavish dinner featuring seafood from the Miura Peninsula and rice from terraced rice paddies (6,000 yen per person) and a terraced rice paddy breakfast (1,500 yen per person). Check-in/Check-out

Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?

A. Check-in is from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

Q. I heard there's a check-in option that includes a stroll through the rice terraces.

A. Yes. If you arrive between 14:00 and 14:30, a staff member will greet you in person and guide you on a complimentary rice terrace walk included with your stay. This is a unique experience offered by our inn, where you can walk together and learn about the history of the satoyama (traditional Japanese rural landscape) and the changing seasons. Advance reservations are required if you wish to participate (please apply using the form that will be sent to you after your reservation).

Q. Is early check-in possible?

A. Due to cleaning schedules, we are generally unable to accommodate this request. However, depending on the previous day's accommodation and cleaning schedule, we may be able to accommodate it, so please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to do so.

Q. Is late check-out possible?

A. Depending on the booking situation for the following day, we may be able to accommodate your request. Please contact us via message to discuss.

Q. Is it necessary to check in in advance and fill out the guest register?

A. Yes, it is required. In accordance with the Private Lodging Business Act, we require you to register the information of all guests in advance. Please fill out the form provided by the day before check-in.

Q. How do I enter the room?

A. It is a smart lock (PIN code type). The PIN code will be provided to you after your reservation and before check-in. If you have any problems unlocking the door, please contact the facility using the contact information provided.

Rooms and facilities

Q. What is the composition of the bedding?

A. Bedroom 1 has two single beds, Bedroom 2 (a converted closet) has two daybeds, and the Japanese-style room has four futons, accommodating a maximum of 8 people. The Japanese-style room can be partitioned off with a roll screen. Linens will be provided for the number of people booked.

Q. What amenities are available?

A. We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and a hairdryer. Please inquire about other amenities.

Q. Are there a kitchen, washing machine, and bathroom?

A. The rooms are equipped with a full kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, cooking utensils, and dishes). There is also a rice mill and earthenware pot, so you can enjoy the unique experience of milling your own terraced rice and cooking it in the pot. In addition to a washing machine, TV, and air conditioning, there is also a bathtub and shower (separate bathroom and toilet, toilet has a heated bidet).

Q. Is there Wi-Fi?

A. Yes, we have free Wi-Fi available. We also have a dedicated workspace, so you can use it for workcations. Connection information will be provided in the room information at check-in.

Access and Parking

Q. How do I get there using public transport?

A. Take a bus bound for Hayama (Kamiyamaguchi) from JR Yokosuka Line "Zushi Station" or Keikyu Zushi Line "Zushi-Hayama Station," get off at the bus stop, and it's about a 10-minute walk (there is an uphill slope). For more information...Access pagePlease take a look.

Q. Is there a parking lot?

A. You can park up to 3 cars on the premises free of charge. If you are arriving in a large vehicle, please contact us in advance.

Q. Are there any places to shop nearby? How far is it to the sea?

A. There is a convenience store about an 8-minute walk away (there is a steep hill). Hayama and Isshiki Beach are about a 10-minute drive away. We recommend bringing your own groceries. The area surrounding the inn is surrounded by the terraced rice fields and rural landscapes of Kamiyamaguchi, where you can enjoy a stroll.

Rules during your stay

Q. Is smoking allowed?

A. Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Please smoke only in the designated outdoor area.

Q. Can we have a BBQ?

A. Yes, you can enjoy a BBQ in the garden (outdoors, no roof). There are no built-in grills, but we offer disposable tabletop BBQ kits (charcoal type, with firelighters) for 3,000 yen each. Please contact us in advance if you would like to use one. As this is an old wooden house, we are strict about fire safety, so please refrain from bringing in or using heating devices such as portable gas stoves, and from using fireworks, including handheld fireworks. As this is a quiet rural area, please finish any outdoor meals, such as BBQs, by 9 PM.

Q. What precautions should I take regarding how to spend my time at night?

A. As the venue is located in a quiet rural area, please refrain from eating or drinking outdoors or speaking loudly after 9 PM. We do not allow parties or events, and we do not allow more people than the number of reservations to enter the premises. Also, please refrain from entering the surrounding farmland or private property.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. We are sorry, but we do not allow pets.

Q. What kind of experiences can I have?

A. Q. By when do I need to book the experience?

A. All activities require advance reservations at least four days prior to your stay. Please apply using the experience request form that will be sent to you after your reservation is confirmed. We cannot accept same-day applications, so we recommend booking early.
