Reservations & Fees

Q. Is the entire building rented out?

A. Yes, it is a whole-house rental of a traditional Japanese house nearly 100 years old (maximum 8 people, limited to one group per day). There are no spaces shared with other guests.

Q. What is the maximum capacity?

A. Up to 8 guests can stay. Please check the reservation site (Airbnb) for accommodation fees and per-person rates. Entry exceeding the number of people booked is not permitted, so please consult us in advance if you are unsure about the number of guests.

Q. Can I stay with children?

A. We recommend use for children of elementary school age and above. If you are bringing preschool-aged children, please consult us before making a reservation. We can also provide information on how to count children sleeping in the same bed and adjust bedding if you inquire. The farm work experience, unique to a satoyama inn, is also recommended for families with children.

Q. Can I cancel, change dates, or change the number of guests?

A. This will follow the rules and procedures of the reservation site (Airbnb, etc.) through which you booked. Cancellations made at short notice may incur a cancellation fee. Please consult us via message first.

Q. What are the payment methods and receipts?

A. For reservations made via a reservation site, payment and receipt issuance will generally be handled on that site. Please let us know if you require a receipt.

Q. Are meal plans available?

A. Yes. We offer a deluxe dinner with seafood from the Miura Peninsula and terraced rice field rice (6,000 yen per person) and a terraced rice field breakfast (1,500 yen per person). Both require advance reservations up to 4 days before your stay (we do not offer ingredients only). Please see theExperiences & Options pagefor details.

Check-in/Check-out

Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?

A. Check-in is from 14:00 to 21:00, and check-out is at 10:00.

Q. I heard there's a check-in with a terraced rice field walk.

A. Yes. If you can arrive between 14:00 and 14:30, our staff will greet you in person and guide you on a terraced rice field walk (free of charge), which is included in your stay. This is a unique experience at our inn, walking together through the history of the satoyama and the seasonal nature. Advance application is required if you wish to participate (please apply using the form provided after your reservation).

Q. Can I check in early?

A. Due to cleaning schedules, we generally cannot accommodate early check-ins. Depending on the previous day's occupancy and cleaning status, it may be possible, so please inquire as early as possible if you wish to do so.

Q. Can I check out late?

A. This may be possible depending on the next day's reservation status. Please consult us via message.

Q. Is pre-check-in and guest roster entry required?

A. Yes, it is required. Based on the Private Lodging Business Act, all guests staying must register their information in advance. Please complete the form provided by the day before check-in.

Q. How do I enter the room?

A. It's a smart lock (keypad type). The PIN will be provided after your reservation and before check-in. If you have trouble unlocking it or any other issues, please contact the facility at the provided contact number.

Rooms & Facilities

Q. What is the bedding configuration?

A. There are 2 single beds in Bedroom 1, 2 daybeds in Bedroom 2 (a room converted from a closet), and 4 futon sets in the Japanese-style room, allowing up to 8 guests to sleep. The Japanese-style room can be partitioned with a roll screen. Linens will be provided for the number of guests booked.

Q. What amenities are provided?

A. We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and a hairdryer. Please inquire about other amenities.

Q. Is there a kitchen, washing machine, and bath?

A. We have a full kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, cooking utensils, dishes). There is also a rice mill and a clay pot, so you can enjoy the unique experience of milling your own terraced rice and cooking it in the clay pot. In addition to a washing machine, TV, and air conditioner, there is also a bathtub and shower (separate bath and toilet, toilet has a bidet function).

Q. Is Wi-Fi available?

A. Yes, free Wi-Fi is available. There is also a dedicated workspace, so you can use it for workation. Connection information will be provided in the entry guide at check-in.

Access & Parking

Q. How do I get there by public transport?

A. From JR Yokosuka Line "Zushi Station" or Keikyu Zushi Line "Zushi·Hayama Station," take a bus towards Hayama (Kamiyamaguchi), then it's about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop (there is an uphill slope). Please see theAccess pagefor details.

Q. Is parking available?

A. Up to 3 cars can be parked for free on the premises. Please inquire in advance if you are coming with a large vehicle.

Q. Are there any shopping places nearby? How far is it to the sea?

A. The convenience store is about an 8-minute walk away (there is a steep hill). Hayama Isshiki Beach is about a 10-minute drive. We recommend purchasing groceries in advance before you arrive. Around the inn, the terraced rice fields and satoyama of Kamiyamaguchi spread out, and you can enjoy a stroll.

Rules During Your Stay

Q. Is smoking allowed?

A. Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Please use only the designated outdoor smoking area.

Q. Can I have a BBQ?

A. Yes, you can enjoy a BBQ in the garden (outdoors, no roof). There is no built-in grill; we provide disposable tabletop BBQ kits (charcoal type with fire starter) for 3,000 yen each. Please contact us in advance if you wish to use one. As it is a wooden traditional house, we are strict about fire safety, so bringing in or using heating appliances such as portable gas stoves, and fireworks including handheld fireworks, are prohibited. As it is a quiet satoyama, please finish outdoor dining such as BBQs by 9 PM.

Q. What should I be careful about at night?

A. As it is located in a quiet satoyama, please refrain from outdoor eating and drinking or loud voices after 9 PM. Use for parties or events, and entry exceeding the number of guests booked, are not permitted. Also, please refrain from entering surrounding farmland or private property.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. We apologize, but pets are not allowed.

Q. What kind of experiences are available?

A. In addition to the terraced rice field walk after check-in (included in stay, free), we offer farm work experiences such as rice planting and harvesting, terraced rice ice cream making and wild herb tea experience, local ingredient dinner and breakfast plans, and BBQ kits. Q. How far in advance do I need to book experiences?

A. All experiences require advance reservations up to 4 days before your stay. Please apply using the experience request form provided after your reservation. Same-day applications cannot be accepted, so we recommend booking early.
