Approximately 30 minutes direct from Sendai Station on the Senseki Line, and a 1-minute walk from JR Hon-Shiogama Station (Shrine Approach Exit). Roopt Shiogama Kaigandori's guest room is a renovated guest house on the 2nd floor of a retro 4-story building with a distinctive triangular exterior. It's a unique accommodation where you can casually interact with share house residents on the 3rd and 4th floors. Located just a 1-minute walk from the approach to Shiogama Shrine and right next to a shopping street with preserved Meiji-era architecture, you can experience local life in Shiogama.
The shared living room on the 2nd floor is an exclusive area for guests. It's a calm space equipped with a counter table and Japanese-style low tables. The kitchen has a gas stove, electric kettle, rice cooker, dishes, and cooking utensils, so you can enjoy cooking your own meals.
You might also have natural interactions with the share house residents on the 3rd and 4th floors. It's a place where you can experience Shiogama life from a local's perspective.
Located a 1-minute walk from Hon-Shiogama Station's "Shrine Approach Exit" ticket gate, right near the entrance to Shiogama Shrine's approach. Early morning, quiet visits are recommended. The charming atmosphere of the shopping street with preserved Meiji-era architecture is also just a short walk away.
Sendai city is about 30 minutes direct on the Senseki Line, and Matsushima is about 20 minutes away. It's a convenient location for sightseeing.
The guest room on the 2nd floor is a 6-tatami mat Japanese-style room. It's equipped with a slatted bed base + single mattress (Japanese futon style), air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a desk, a sofa, and a side table. It's a private space for up to 1 person.
Entry is via a keypad smart lock for self-check-in (we will send the code via Airbnb message the day before check-in). Please note that there is no elevator, and you will need to use the stairs to the 2nd floor. This may be a consideration for those who have difficulty with stairs or have a lot of luggage.
