■ Individual Consultation Staff: Vacant House Advisor Tatsuya Miyoshi (Makigumi Inc.) Born in Aichi Prefecture. At Makigumi Inc., he is mainly responsible for receiving consultations and making proposals to owners who are troubled by vacant houses. He is also involved in developing new services to meet the demands of owners troubled by vacant houses, such as "unable to perform daily maintenance and management due to distance," "unable to give up ownership due to sentimental attachment," and "want to use it occasionally for grave visits, etc."

Makigumi Inc.'s Vacant House Utilization Examples

OGAWA (Guesthouse: Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture)

A guesthouse renovated from a 70-year-old vacant house, opened in 2020. Despite unfavorable conditions, being about 15 minutes walk from Ishinomaki Station and not facing a road, it operated for 180 days in fiscal year 2022, the maximum allowed under the Hotel Business Act. There is strong demand for whole-house rentals, with many families and groups using it mainly on weekends.

Roopt Okumatsushima (Share House + Guesthouse: Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture)

A share house opened in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture in 2022, with one room utilized as a vacation rental. Due to its proximity to Matsushima, one of Japan's three most scenic views, many international tourists stay here.
