⛩️ Kagurazaka Festival (Hozuki Market / Awa Odori Dance Festival)
Around Kagurazaka-dori (Kagurazaka 1-chome, Shinjuku-ku ~ Kagurazaka-ue)
These are Kagurazaka's four summer days. The first two days are theHozuki Market, and the latter two days are theAwa Odori Dance Festival.
For Awa Odori, the slope itself becomes the venue. Dancers come down the narrow street, so you can get very close. Groups from Tokushima also participate.
The view differs between the top and bottom of the slope. If your accommodation is halfway up the slope, you can go out before it gets crowded and return when you're tired.

Typically held for 4 days from Wednesday to Saturday in late July. Dates for 2027 are unannounced. Will check during the May inventory.
